Michigan Athletics Communications Design
I am currently interning with the University of Michigan Athletic Department for my second year as a Graphic Designer. My responsibilities include using the Adobe Creative Suite to produce a high volume of print and digital assets to support the promotion of the University’s athletic programs, its teams and events. Examples of projects I have worked on include creating logos, posters, flyers, billboards, event programs, apparel, newsletters, and info-graphics for Michigan Athletic programs. Several of the sports I have worked on the following U-M athletic teams: Basketball, Football, Ice Hockey, Gymnastics, Tennis, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Wrestling, Swimming & Diving, Golf and Lacrosse.

Action Figure
BRIEF: Three dimensional modeling is a vital part of any artistic or design practice. Being able to prototype both in analog means and translate into digital means is important in communicating design and artistic ideas.
Diagrams / Renderings
I selected one of my previous projects, the Protario bycicle to sreve as my action figure. The design of the bicycle features a one sided leg support system, this allows for the easy changing of the wheels and give the Protario the ability to function on more than one surface.
Analogous Prototype
Sculpted from sculptee, my analogous prototype focused on the structure and shape of my design. By using a malleable material I was able to see where the frame came under the most stress. I explored how the frame would be fabricated. I explored creating the whole frame as one complete shape and as three individual ones. I decided to move forward with the single shape which allowed for strength and ease of manufacture
Digitally Fabricated prototype #1
The bike tires and rims are attached with a simple rod/axle. This allows for the wheels to rotate freely and remain attached to the frame.
Digitally Fabricated prototype #2
There were several things I considered when I redesigned my bicycle for the second iteration 3-D print. My first iteration showcased rather basic modeling skills, it was thick and the forks were attached in a lazy manner. This was my main focus with the second iteration. I created a much more open skeleton/ frame focusing on the structural triangle as well as creating a more streamlined attachment for the fork supports. A seat was also added onto the bike.
Design Error
Despite making the thickness of the handle bars larger they were still damaged and broke off during transportation.
Bike Stand
Bike #3, Stand #2
The second bike stand allowed for the simultaneous display of 2 bicycles. By doing so, the stand will help in the repair of the bicycle as well as the changing of the tires.
