Persistence of Life Series

 

This series takes cues from the Vanitas period of art history, as seen in the depiction of the flower, as well as from surrealism, with the placement of this flower on the human head. Through this series I am trying to show how life is unpredictable and not really in our hands. I have exaggerated the proportions of the flowers in relation to the head.
